Hi, I’m Alex, a 29-year-old guitarist and tutor based in Wigan. Music has been at the heart of my life and career, and I’m passionate about helping students of all ages and abilities discover the joy of playing guitar.

I hold a degree in Popular Music Performance from Salford University and a PGCE from Manchester Metropolitan University, I have five years of experience working as a high school music teacher, alongside extensive experience teaching one-to-one guitar lessons to students of all levels.

Alongside teaching, I’ve gained real-world experience performing in cover bands and with my original band, Casino Club.

My qualifications include:

• ABRSM Grade 8 (Classical Guitar)

• Rockschool Grade 8 (Electric Guitar)

• ABRSM Grade 5 Theory

I offer lessons for everyone from complete beginners to advanced players. My main focus is pop and rock guitar, helping you play and understand the songs you love — often within just a few lessons.

For students looking for formal progression, I also teach graded exams from Grade 1 to Grade 8 with both Trinity and Rockschool syllabuses, tailoring preparation to ensure you’re confident and exam-ready.
